A driver with an “I’m not drunk just avoiding potholes” bumper sticker on his car, has been arrested for driving under the influence in the town of Ironbridge in England, United Kingdom.
Officers found the man, whose name was withheld, with his wrecked Range Rover earlier this week, Telford police reported on their official Twitter account on Aug. 16. Driver with “I’m not drunk” bumper sticker arrested for DUI was revealed on the police’s twitter.
“[#DrunkDriver] last night in #Ironbridge. His Range Rover was ruined when we located him & so was he as he failed the breath test!” police said. Officers also found the car’s missing wheel around 1.6 kilometers (1 mile) away from the scene at the time.

During the breath testing for DUI, the man registered 70 micrograms of alcohol per 100 milliliters of breath (equivalent to a 0.16%), which is double of England’s legal alcohol limit of 35.
The police also pointed out the irony of the man’s bumper sticker as they shared a close-up photo of it on a follow-up tweet, saying that he “Definitely WAS drunk.”
“Definitely didn’t avoid hitting things as he took out his wheel on a bollard,” the police stressed, along with the hashtag “don’t drink and drive.”
